The incredible structure is the Sagrada Família, not only because of its size, design and intricate modernist features, but also because it has been built for over 130 years - longer than the Egyptian pyramids were built! Its unique exterior is nothing like anything else in the world and its interior is just as amazing! An interesting fact is that Gaudí did not like straight lines as they do not occur naturally, preferring curves, textures and shapes. He once quoted "there is no art, if not from nature", when you enter the basílica and look up, the columns will no doubt look like tree branches!</p>
